I'm not sure whether this question belongs in this forum or the server forum.
We have 200+ Excel files in a SharePoint document library. This library is hosted by a third party, not our internal servers.
We need to make some identical modifications to all of the files.
I have the VBA code that can loop through the files, make the changes, and save the file.
The problem is that our files have to be 'checked out' before changes can be made.
Is there any way to automate the check out/in with VBA?
I'm using Excel 2007.
I don't know anything about SharePoint, but I found the following article for Office 2003. Scroll down to or search for "Using Check Out and Check In".

The code in the Using Check Out and Check In section works with Excel 2007. Yay! http://windowssecrets.com/forums/ima...es/biggrin.gif
One tip if you are using a variable to hold the file name: For Check Out I had to use the full path to the SharePoint file; For Check In only use the file name as shown in the title bar when the file is open.
This is probably explained in the Note at the end of the section, but I didn't catch it.
