Win 7 does not burn discs any more (CD & DVD)
This is a shortcut available on a number of websites that will produce a list of links to various win7 settings.
Do NOT try to copy it or any subdir that contains it to a CD or DVD with Win7's native disc maker.
What happens is that after all the files you are assembling for copy are "burned to disk," Windows will kick out the disk messaging that there is "a problem" with the disk.
Not so! The disks are still good (I have 8 of them to prove this). Just remove this file from the set you are archiving and all will be well again.
2014-08-14: Here is updated/corrected description for this issue:
Check for files with extensions that are GUID (Globally Unique Identifier) numbers. These conflict in some way with Windows DVD burning software to prevent burning. Here is the one that caused problems this month:
