RG & Rory,
Formula is =Max(J:J) and it returns a currency format " $2,000" [without the quotes]
I want to add text [GGH] before the return and keep the currency format and see this in the cell - "GGH $2,000"...
That is the problem, I cannot set it up the way I want, 2 screens in 1 instance of Excel. When I select "new window", it opens a new window in another instance of Excel.
Is there a setting...
In Dec 2013 I requested help with this. I wanted a side by side view so I could scroll up/down on part of a sheet while seeing other rows of that sheet [or other sheets]. I needed independent up/down...
Interesting, did not see that.
That is what I was seeing, but did not know why. I thought it might have created a continual looping and that was why it would not advanced with...
I am trying to understand your code.
Please explain the lines:
If eliminated the scripts stops at that point. Is this to prevent a loop?
Thanks. As you say, these things continually evolve, especially if they are successful. My main sheet got too busy. These changes also helps me understand the code and approach since my...
Maudibe and dguillett,
If data is on sheet "daily" and I need the return on sheet "mos sum", how do I change the scripts?
When I run your script, it copies the font format in "B". tried it several times, same result. dguillett's script does not do this.
see attached 1st 3 returns up to line 43
Thanks for help and this info.
To help me understand this better, what triggered this clarification? What does this tell me besides the literal statement? Are you saying dguillett's script does it...
maudibe and dguillett
Maudibe's script copies font format from corresponding column B; color, bold, position in cell[center].
How is this happening? Where in the script does this occur?...
You are missing my objective. I do not want the Min/Max, I want the first and last for each month. Column A is dates and is in order, column B is data/numbers and is NOT in ascending or any...
Thanks. Is there a solution that does not involve the extra columns? Can this be done with a single formula?
Confused with your reply. Please explain. Thanks.
Column A is dates in order spanning several years, column B are numbers.
I need the sum of the last number minus the first number for each month and year.
I can set the month/year condition with...
My Uninstall button was greyed out because I did not have "Client for MS Networks " highlighted. Again, everything works..
My OS just does not recognize this as Wi-Fi, to SOME extent. Enough...
Your screens are as they should be but you can see from my screenshots I do not get the "wireless" button or "security" tab. That is my question. Yes, I get the "connect/disconnect" and I do...
When I click on my wireless connection, as you suggested, the screen that comes up is the "status" screen with "properties" button. A normal "status" screen has a "wireless properties" button...
Wi-Fi works fine, but there is no "wireless" button in Wi-Fi status screen. Without this I cannot save password.
see attached screen shot.
If the value equals "0", I want to replace the "0" with a text "xx" in the cell, that is, show "xx".
How do I add this to the formula?
Just what I needed but could not quite get correct. Thanks.
A = Dates
F = numbers
Formula = Max(F:F)
I want to return the corresponding "A" or date of the max number.
A1= 1/1/2014 F1= 10
A2= 1/7/2014 F2= 50
A3= 1/20/2014 F3= 16
Thanks everyone for your input but I did not state my question clearly. I am trying to replace the "default" grid which apparently is not an option in "format/borders". Is this possible?
Thanks RG but this did not work. The reason I lost the grids is that I color filled the area and that removes the grids. To re-ask the question, how do I color fill and not lose the grids?
I have a section that lost the standard grids lines. If I add lines using "format/borders", the grid lines are different than the default grid lines. How can I replace these grids without deleting...
