What's a good utility for wiping a disk to delete all information so information can't be recovered?
I am planning on buying a new computer. What's the best way to transfer files from old computer to new one? Old computer running Win 7 premium.
I found where windows is currently storing new favorites in drive I formatted under "windows games" so I copied and pasted saved favorites into folder and it works.
I was able to restore favorites by looking where windows was storing new favorites-on the drive I formatted in the "windows games" folder.

I can't get IE 11 to import favorites from that folder.

I tried that. All IE wants to import is "bookmark.htm" even though I told it to import all files/folders from favorites folder.
I accidentally formatted drive that contained IE favorites. I had them backed to a folder in another drive. How do I restore the favorites so IE will recognize them?
