OK, MSE is gone and Windows Defender is on...... post resolved.
PS: If I had to do this for anyone, I'd image the win 10 upgrade so the 2nd win 10 upgrade could be much faster.

I did the recovery back to win 7.

Uninstall MSE while here... then upgrade to win 10 again??

It's been like this since I upgraded from win 7 to win 10, I looked in the security setting and it's grayed out but it looks like it's on but who knows.
Hence the post, need help...

I've installed win 10 from win 7, think I want win 7 back for a while so i'll do the recovery option "BUT" before I do this, if I want win 10 back later...... how can I get it back?
Got to bury my head in the sand, it turns out that it was the mouse left/side clicker, the dang $10 mouse is bad.

I right/click on the start button for open windows explorer and nothing happens other than the small option menu is there.... might mention that I have to re-boot to get ride of it as other wise it...
All of a sudden wife (win 7 on wireless WiFi) boot up desktop looks fine, click on any shortcut and nothing happens, right click on a icon shortcut and select 'open' and nothing happens, mouse works...
all usb ports have the same issue, is it the drivers ??
My desktop PC (win7) doesn't recognize my Seagate 500 gg USB drive, tried re-booting no help. It works fine on my wife (win7) PC and on my lappie with Vista.

OK Folks, this is what I did !!
I went into win7 disk management, made the win 7 partition active (and then it wouldn't boot) so I used the win 7 OEM disk to fix the boot, I then deleted the XP...
Q) I use the win7 boot program and just select which OS I want at boot, does that mean both are active??
If I get into an issue, I'll post back.

disk 0 = XP in a 250g partition THEN win 7 in a 236g partition.. of the 1 tb sata drive
It boot to the win 7 boot screen for selection of OS at this time.

I want to remove the XP os before the ssd install. I want to end up just using win7.
What size usb stick do I need ?
Will I have a boot issue after the "restore" ?
