When I try to open a program I get a message and I'm not sure what it means: The Win 16 subsystem was unable to enter Protected Mode, DOSX.EXE must be in your AUTOEXEC.NT and present in you PATH....
All you need to do is follow the setup in the Easylink Advisor.
Hey Doc, I m presently using pc-cillin 14 cause it came with the notebook, but when the time runs out, I'm in a quandary of which one to choose.
To answer your question simply, find the .exe file of the program in doubt and right click on it. Then click properties and it should state in that window, somewhere.
Thanx for all the input but I'm still confused....
I would like to hear some thoughts on which one I should use? Avast!, PC-cillan, or AVG?
As DaveA says, go private.....
Why aren't you using the Logitech drivers?
If you had another puter with that same program and a flash drive I could help.... What you need to probably do is to obtain a non-corrupted .dll file and over write the one in your puter.

I'm a little puzzled on this one.......When I use the NIC that came with my notebook (802.11g) I can see some of my network in the Network Folder, but when I switch to a USB-N adapter (802.11n) I...
Click on START, then CONTROL PANEL. There you will find the icon for WINDOWS FIREWALL. DOUBLE CLICK it and then you will see how to turn it off......G L
Thanx for the reply. It was a temporary thing.......
May I suggest clicking on 'set up a connection or network' in the network sharing folder. From there you'll be able to choose a private network.
Then go back to network sharing and you'll see...
Is anyone else experiencing the Internet being sluggish, or is it just me?
Click on Start. Then on Help and Support.
When the window for Help pops up, in the search box, type in 'change keyboard language' and hit Enter.
Follow what is there.
What you're probably seeing is the code that Vista reads from the Unix.
I got it. By clicking on the touchpad icon, it brought up a window where I selected the option to disable when a usb external mouse is present..
It must be a safety default setting by Dell. When I restart, the driver re-installs automatically. O well.......thanx
O well............... thanx for the info anyways. I guess that is one difference in our OS's
