Changing file associations to Internet Explorer did not make a difference. An email that I received this morning would not display images - just a red X - and these were JPGs.

GIFs open with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. That gave me a clue so I changed it so that GIFs open with Paint Shop Pro. Still the same - no images just a red X.

I can right click on the red X, click COPY, but I cannot paste anything. One of the right click options is VIEW SOURCE. I looked at the source code and see that the red Xs are all GIFs....
