This is working -but it is taking a ridiculously long time to sync. Right now it reports "68 files, 97.9kB/sec, 27 hr left".

Nope. It still doesn't work - same message, despite now running Windows 8 Pro.

I've copied the installation file from the windows 7 laptop to the new windows 8 (now Pro) laptop, and it ran and installed. Hurray! Sorted.

For whatever reason it is now working again. Perhaps, when I thought I'd closed it down, there was still an outlook window open that I' missed.
