Coloured tabs - is it possible (VBA/Word 2003)

    Dear Loungers,

I have a user that would like a tabbed dialogue. But they also want the tabs to be coloured! I can't see a way to do this in Word's VB editor since a tab seems to take the colour of the windows 3d objects, all tabs are the same colour and cannot be changed.

I there a way of doing this?

    thank you.............................. liz

As you suspect, it is not possible with the built-in tab control. There are third-party tab controls that allow tabs to be colored individually, but you'd have to buy it, install it for all users etc.

You could fake it by using colored buttons in the position that would normally show the tabs and tell the multipage to hide it's tabs (style = fmTabstyleNone). Then code behind the commandbutton shows the proper tab.
