    AutoCorrect Settings (Word 2000 SP2)

What benefits (positive or negative) if any, are there in checking or unchecking the following AutoCorrect options ? On the Autoformat As You Type tab under the Automatically as you type section
Format beginning of list item like the one before it
Define Styles based on your formatting

    all help much appreciated.

    Regards

    John

Re: AutoCorrect Settings (Word 2000 SP2)

As an experienced Word user, I find no benefit to either option. I remove all checkmarks from the top and bottom sections of the autoformat as you type tab.

I find that defining styles based on formatting just doesn't fit with most documents. This "feature" gets much worse in Word XP...

<<This "feature" gets much worse in Word XP>>

This sounds interesting. Can you go into more details on this?

    How does it get worse?

    Thank you!
