    WindowsXP message (XP)

I keep getting the following message after restarts. Is this something I should be concerned about? How can I disable the message? Thanks for any help. "The total hard drive capacity in your system has increased. This typically does NOT indicate a hardware failure. Contact your Help Desk if you did not personally change your system's hard-drive configuration or disable devices in System Setup."

Do you have an external storage device plugged in, such as a USB drive?

Do you have a Dell PC? The results of a Google search indicate that the message is generated by a program installed by Dell, Open Manage Client Instrumentation (OMCI). One suggestion is to uninstall this (using the Add/Remove Programs control panel).

Hi Hans, Thanks for your suggestion. I removed the OMCI program, that did the trick. <img src=/S/bravo.gif border=0 alt=bravo width=16 height=30>
