    Word's auto numbering with alphas

When making a list with more than 27 entries, the alphabetic numbering goes awry. The progression is z, aa, bb, cc, ... It should be z, aa, ab, ac... Is there a setting that can be set to fix this problem?

Sorry, no. This kind of numbering is only meant for relatively short lists. If you need more than 26 items, you should use standard (or Roman) numbering.

    Hi mitches,

I think your question would be more apt to get answers if it were in the "Word" forum.

Perhaps one of the MODS can move it for you.

    Today it is called golf!
