    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

Well, the first thing to try is pressing the Windows Key-R combination to see if that brings up the Run command. There is also a Windows registry tweak for restoring the Run command, at Troubleshooting Windows XP, Tweaks and Fixes for Windows XP at Line #57 on the right side. I don't know yet if you need to try it.

Did you add a "Check Mark" to the box in the Start menu Properties and then the advance area?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Re: Run (XP)

Good deal, glad that's a good start. Dave made a good suggestion I hadn't thought about. Check that out and if you STILL don't have the Run entry on your Start Menu, try the fix at Kelly's site that I linked to. Please let us know, for the benefit of others, if you can get the Run command showing on the Start Menu. However, once you get used to using the Windows Key, it's a nice, easy way to get to a lot of stuff. Here's a link to a bunch of helpful keyboard commands: Keyboard shortcuts for Windows
