Address Book disappeared (Outlook XP, WME)

    Hi:
I just got a new computer and transferred my Outlook.pst file to it from O2000 to OXP - so far so good. But first I had trouble getting OXP to recognize my contacts in the address book. I seemed to have fixed that, but then shortly thereafter things went bizarre.

Now when I click on address book there is nothing - not a choice of a personal address book, contacts, nothing - all blanks!

Somewhere, while doing something else, I think I changed a setting that said I was a network computer to the setting that said I was a personal computer - might thas have done it? If so, I'd like to find that place again but can't.

    any help welcome. TIA, Michael

do you have many customizations - rules etc?

if not, create a new profile and it should fix your problem.

Thanks - I made a new profile, exported from the original, imported into the new one, then, when I saw that everythng was happy, delted the old one and made the new one the default. Not even sure why, but I've got my address book back. Even took the imported rules without hassle.

    Michael
