Multiple Criteria Formula for Conditional Format (MS Excel 2003)

I need help with the formula for a conditional format

I have three conditions
=$D2="Inactive"
Formats the cell range Red
=$D2="Transfer"
Formats the cell range Purple
=$D2="Administrative Hold"
Formats the cell range Blue

"Active" value is the default coloring for the cell.

I want another value, "Waiver", to be the other condition along with "Inactive" that will format the cell range Red.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For the condition that colors the cells red, make sure that "Formula Is" is selected in the combo box on the left, and change the formula to

=OR($D2="Inactive",$D2="Waiver")

The OR function returns TRUE if either of the conditions is TRUE.
