change Font for Bullets and Number in 1 hit

I have a document that has been deltaviewed compared .

The Deltaview Font style has remained therefore I have:
Selected All
Format Font, changed the Font colour to black and remove underline (done manually or using Styles and Formatting)

The result is some para-numbering has been left with the "style"
that is if I select the numbered paragraphs,
Goto the Word menu Format, Bullets and Numbering...
Select the Oultine Numbered box, click Customise
Click Font...
The Font formatting reveals the Font colour is: is blue and Underline style: is double underline.

I can manually change the formatting. To Font colour black and no underline.

However it appears only a small section of numbered paragraphs can have manual font changed applied.

I have provided a sample doc. I have stripped it down considerably to get the file size down to allow as attachment.

Is there a way I can globally change the Font formatting for Bullets and Numbering, so the changes are made in one hit.

as opposed to highlighting each section, and manually changing. As this document is very large,nearly 400 pages.

Re: change Font for Bullets and Number in 1 hit

I think this problem is caused by using an outline numbered list that is not associated with a style, and is not named. The style Deltaview Insertion has a blue font with double underline, but this is a character style, so changing this doesn't affect the numbers on the associated paragraphs.

The underlying style of the problem paragraphs is "definition num 3", but this style doesn't have any numbering. I think that your best long term solution would be to modify the template, or the original document, so that the outline numbering is associated with a set of paragraph styles. You could then reapply these styles to the paragraphs after deltaview has modified the formatting.

Here is a short macro that will change all the paragraph numbers to black, no underline, as a temporary measure for now.

Public Sub BlackNoUnderline()
Dim para As Paragraph
On Error Resume Next

For Each para In ActiveDocument.Paragraphs
para.SelectNumber
Selection.Font.Color = wdBlack
Selection.Font.Underline = wdUnderlineNone
Next para
End Sub

Here is a brute force approach: run the following macro.

Sub RemoveDeltaColor()
Dim par As Paragraph
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
For Each par In ActiveDocument.ListParagraphs
With par.Range.ListFormat.ListTemplate.ListLevels(2).Fo nt
.Underline = wdUnderlineNone
.Color = wdColorAutomatic
End With
With par.Range.ListFormat.ListTemplate.ListLevels(3).Fo nt
.Underline = wdUnderlineNone
.Color = wdColorAutomatic
End With
Next par
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub

Hans as there are 7 list levels I had to add to your code. its still a work in progress (due to time ) but the base is there so its good.

thank you again for your help
