    Backend Locked (2007)

I have a simple database with a FE and a BE on a network share. Most of the time it works, sometime when one has it open and the other tries to open it will not allow
How do you go about diagnosing these problems?
    Thanks

Make sure that all users have modify permissions (read/write/create/delete) on the folder containing the FE and also on the folder containing the BE. Access will not work correctly if users do not have modify permissions. Note that these are permissions at the Windows level, not within Access.

That is there since I helped set that up. Any other ideas? Especially since it only happens periodically (and of course when I am not there )
    Hans Thanks as usual

Is there any chance that a user can modify the design of a datbase object, whether intentionally or unintentionally? This will lock the database exclusively for that user.
