    combine records in report (2003)

    Hi All,

I'd like to generate a report that shows the medical rotations taken by each resident for terms 1 through 5 in a given year. I've attached the report i've designed, but can't seem to be able to collapse the records to show the data on one line only (for each resident). Can this be done?

    thanks, Van

In the future please use a zip file to post files such as a snapshot file.

What you want can no doubt be done, perhaps using a subreport based on a crosstab query, or using the Concat function from <post#=301,393>post 301,393</post#>. Without seeing the database it's impossible to know what would work best.

Re: combine records in report (2003)

    Hi Hans,

I've found a solution that works. I've created 5 sub-reports on the main report.....each of which only displays a single term (1 through 5).

    Regards, Van
ps. will do regarding attachements. thanks.
