start with specific identity (5.0)

I've created multiple identities so my daughters can both use OE on the family PC. Is there a command line switch or other parameter I can use to open OE with a specific identity?

Ultimately, I'd like to put two icons on the desktop so each of the girls can click on an icon to reach her own inbox.

    Thanks

I don't know of a way to do exactly what you specified, but I found this article in Tomsterdam: http://www.tomsterdam.com/insideoe5/tips/forceid.htm which makes OE ask which identity to use each time it's opened ...

You did NOT state what OS you are using, but with Me, 2K and XP the user accounts set up seperate email files for each user and can be accessed only by the user and the Admin user. These users MUST log in and out for this to work.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

Thanks for this -- the page you referred to actually does have specific instructions for starting OE with a specific identity. As I had suspected, the procedure isn't straightforward but I'm glad to know there is one.

    Appreciate the help...
