    Filtered record count (2000/2003)

When applying the Autofilter method in code, is there a property or variable I can examine to find how many records were filtered? Excel must know internally because it displays 'mm of nnnn records found' on the status bar, but I can't find a way of trapping this!!

The number of filtered records is not directly available in VBA. See XL2000: Macro to Count the Number of Records Returned in an AutoFiltered List for some sample code, and HOW TO: Use the SUBTOTAL Function with AutoFiltered Lists in Excel 2000 for an alternative using a formula.

BTW, was the reply to <post#=657,893>post 657,893</post#> useful?

Thanks - I suspected as much.

And yes, the previous response was helpful, although the problem I encountered was actually a one-off rather than a regular occurrence, so I haven't needed to implement anything major by way of protection (users behaving themselves for once!!)
