    Remove Outlook Express? (IE 6.0.2800.1106IC)

(Edited by HansV to make URL clickable - see <!help=19>Help 19<!/help>)

    I'm doing some bloatware cleanup

I rarely use IE. I prefer to use Seamonkey. I have kept my installation of IE more or less up to date. From time to time I've needed IE to access Acrobat files. There is also an online antivirus resource that only runs under IE which I've used at:

I never use Outlook or OE.

Can I remove Outlook and/or OE using Add/Remove programs or will Windows insist on reinstalling it as a basic part of the browser/OS?

Outlook Express only takes up about 4 MB, so there is little gain to be had by removing it.

See How to manually remove and reinstall Outlook Express for instructions and some warnings.
