    Nested Folders (Outlook 2003)

    Hi,

    Does anyone know if it is possible to return a list of subfolders of a Pulic Folder structure or a Personal Folder structure?

    We have a set of folders with a huge number of nested folders and it is getting increasingly difficult to find a folder. We can search for messages in a folder, but we would like to the 'open containing folder' similar to the option in a Windows Explorer Search.

    Any help?

    <P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by JohnBF on 25-Jul-07 11:11. Code improvements)</P>There's nothing in native Outlook. None of the Basic Find or Advanced Search or Search Folder options look for Folders; they look for Items within the Folders. When you have found an item within the Folder you want, the following code will select the folder:

    Sub ActivateMsgFolder()
    With Outlook.Application
    If .Inspectors.Count Then
    If .ActiveInspector.CurrentItem.Parent.Class = olFolder Then _
    .ActiveExplorer.SelectFolder .ActiveInspector.CurrentItem.Parent
    End If
    End With
    End Sub
