    Where is run... function (Windows Vista)

    I cannot find the run... function which in all previous versions of Windows is found at start/run...
    Does anyone know where this function is kept?
    Thank you

    You can use Windows key+R to open the Run... box.

    If you prefer to see it on the Start menu:
    - Right-click on the Start menu.
    - Select Properties from the popup menu.
    - Activate the Start Menu tab
    - Click the Customize... button;
    - Tick the check box "Run command".

    Also, the search box performs much the same function. Just start typing the same thing you'd enter in the run box and you'll get one or more search results listed which you can just select to run.

    OR....... if it is a command line, simply type it in the "Start Search" field and press "Enter". The same goes for ".exe" files, e.g., type: Notepad.exe > Enter which will run the program. And probably one of hte more popular uses of the "Run Box" is to run "regedit".... thus, type: regedit > Enter to open the Registry Editor. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
