    Red X (I.E. 7)

    I know I read a post in here on how to get rid of these but I can't find it.
    So how do I get rid of these?

    If they're ads, they may have been blocked by a security program such as SpywareBlaster or Spybot S&D.

    Possibly.
    Since it was a trusted site MSNBC , and I had it in my trusted sites I lowered the security for that zone to Medium Low, then reloaded IE.
