    Voting Buttons (Outlook 2003)

    I have an Access database that generates emails that contain a set of voting buttons.
    When these emails are sent and the initinal receipent votes, the results are returned to my sending email address as desired.

    I problem comes when the receipent forwards the email and the individual who it is forwarded to votes. The resulats of the voting are returned to the individual that forwarded the email rather than to my sending address.

    Is there a way to structue the email or the voiting buttons that will have the results returned to the original sending address enven if the email is forwarded one or more times?

    Thanks for any help.

    No, there is no way you can set it up that way. Messages with voting buttons are not intended to be forwarded.
    The recipient would have to change the Reply To address (in the View |Options dialog) to your e-mail address when forwarding it, but you can hardly rely on people doing that.

    BTW, you haven't reacted to the replies you received to <post:=649,241>post 649,241</post:>, <post:=650,241>post 650,241</post:>, <post:=656,125>post 656,125</post:>, <post:=657,265>post 657,265</post:> and <post:=659,611>post 659,611</post:>. so other Loungers don't know if the replies were helpful and if the problem was solved. <img src=/S/sad.gif border=0 alt=sad width=15 height=15>

    I am interested in how you generate emails with voting buttons from your Access app. Can you share a code snippet (or whatever the technique is) that demonstrates how it's done?
    Thanks.

    You can control Outlook from Access using Automation. See WendellB

    Re: Voting Buttons (Outlook 2003)

    Thank you very much. I have done a lot of automation of Outlook from Access but never have set up voting buttons and was not sure if it required an object type different from MailItem.
    Thanks again.
