Moving settings to another machine (XP SR2)

    Dear Loungers,

I find I am at a client site without roaming profiles and no assigned desk, therefore in the last 2 days I have used five different machines! I have started to save my documents and setting folder to a memory stick to get over some of the configuring problem. However there are application settings that, a long time ago, used to be in the ini files and now I think are in the registry. Is there a utility or at least a safe way of copying this between machines?

    liz

Windows XP has a Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.
To start it, select Start | All Programs | Accessories | System Tools | Files and Settings Transfer Wizard.
See Step-by-Step Guide to Migrating Files and Settings.
