    Relationships (Access 2003 sp2)

I have a FE/BE setup. I have defined tables A, B and C as 1-1 relationships. The tables are defined such that A must exist before adding B, and B must exist before adding one for C.

I have the case where i want to delete a record in C and i find after deleting C that the record in A has been deleted too?

How can I overcome this problem.

I also notice that the relationships in the FE are not the same as the ones in the BE, do I need to delete all realtionships from the FE?

That delete problem was in a form which used A and C in a query as a record source of the form. So i guess because of this it deletes both records from A and C.

I may have to provide a button to allow them to delete C only.

You cannot change the existing relationships of linked tables, they are "linked" too. You can create new relationships, but you cannot enforce referential integrity for them.

Thanks Hans, i knew you couldn't change indexes in the front end.

I was just unsure at first why the A records got deleted when i deleted a C record.
