Company field in doc properties (Word 2003 SP2)

My new documents come up with a different "company" in the file properties from the one in the template the document is based on (my "normal.dot) template.

I tried updating the company using Tools|Options|User information - but company doesn't appear there.

Can anybody suggest (short of an autoexec macro, which I could try) how to update this?

    TIA, Peter English.

The company name is the one specified when Office was installed. You need to edit a registry entry in order to change it. See How to change the company name and user name in Office 2003.

Brilliant - that worked! Thank you so much. (Intuitive, isn't it!).
