    Google screensaver

I have Google screen saver, which wonderful. BUT - the it won't turn off. I have my power settings set to turn off the monitor after 45 mins, but Google sv just keeps going - forever. Anyone know if this is fixable?
    Regards,
    Peter

I don't know the technical innards of Windows, but I think you've got two elements of the OS "fighting" each other for control. If you're going to use the Power Options to turn off the monitor, I'd set screensaver to "None" and be done with it. That's what I've done. I really did it to start with because of problematic screensavers, but it's much more peaceful looking when the screen is just dark.

I use a screen saver as well as power saving, but this is a standard windows offering, not a download.

Have you checked the "Settings" button on the Screensaver tab of Display properties for an option to turn it off after a certain # of minutes ???
