Copying Attachment and Email Body (2003/SP2)

Is there a way to automatically copy the body of an email, the sender's email address, date and any attachment when the email is first received? I would like for this information to be sent directly to specific folders in my C drive. Thanks.

You could just drag and drop the whole item. Is it always the same folder?

I was hoping to have this set up so that the process would be done automatically upon receipt of the email. I take it that this is not possible?

It is unclear if you want the specified messages moved to an Outlook PST Folder, which can easily be done by a Rule, or to be moved as a single file to a hard drive location, which can be done a via a combination of Rules & VBA.

I would prefer to move the mesage as a single file to a hard drive location via VBA.

Use the instructions in <!profile=HansV>HansV<!/profile>'s <post:=634,490>post 634,490</post:> to create the Rule, and use this code, edited as necessary, in the module:

    Sub SaveMsg2Drive(item As Object)
Const strSaveLoc As String = "C:" ' edit to desired file location
    If item.Class = olMail Then
    item.SaveAs strSaveLoc & item.FileName, olMSG
    End If
    End Sub

Post back if you have problems.
