    avoid open hyperlink file (word 2003)

    i'm facing trouble when viewing file that contain many hyperlinks (with huge files)
    does word have such function with, when user incident click the hyperlink column,a ask windows pop up,
    then ask user whether to or not open file.

    By default, recent versions of Word require the user to Ctrl+click a hyperlink in order to follow it. Clicking without Ctrl merely positions the insertion point.
    You can turn this setting on and off in the Edit tab of Tools | Options... - it's the check box "Ctrl+Click to follow hyperlink".
    If you turn this option on, it's less easy to activate a hyperlink by accident.
