    Outlook won't minimize (2003 SP2)

I don't know if this is an Outlook problem or a Windows XP issue.

Whenever I attempt to minimize my Outlook window it disappears. If I look in task manager I can see that OUTLOOK.EXE is still running as a process, but the application is no longer there.

All other applications seem to be fine, and Outlook used to be OK.

I tried rebooting, without connecting my ActiveSync device, but that made no difference.

I've checked the Windows Event log, but there is nothing there of interest.

This used to work normally, and I am not aware of any changes since it worked, but since this laptop is managed by an IT department they may have slipped some patches in.

    Any suggestions?

Do you have "Hide when minimized" turned on? If so, Outlook will only display an icon in the Notification Area (aka System Tray) when minimized, and in Windows XP, that icon might be lost without discernible cause. See Minimize Outlook on the Microsoft website.

Absolutely on target, as usual, thank you.
