    Notes Master: Page <#> of ??? (2000)

    Using <#> on the footer of the Notes Master page makes PowerPoint display the page number. Useful, but what would be more useful is to see the total number of pages. I have been unsuccessful in finding a code that displays the total number of pages. It's a pity it does not use the same field codes at Word, eh?

    There is a free add-in that will do what you want. See Slide numbering - Slide XX of YY.

    Note: you run the risk that your audience will pay more attention to the number of slides remaining than to the content... <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
