    Monitor Resolution (Windows Vista Business)

    Hi,

Another Vista problem ... how do I reach my monitors native resolution?

Currently I have managed to reach what appears to be the maximum resolution available on this system (right-click, "Personalize", "Display Settings" to get 1440 x 900) but my monitor (22" LG Flatron widescreen) goes to 1680 x 1050 and I can't seem to get any drivers from LG.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

    Kyu

It's your graphics card (and its drivers) which provides the resolutions! I had to get a special DVI card to stick in my old Evesham box to drive my new Dell 20" widescreen (at 1680x1050). Probably you can drive your LG via an analogue connection but you still need an appropriate graphics card if your current one (perhaps on the motherboard?) won't go that high...
