Symbols in Watermarks (WinXP Pro SP2; Office (Word

OK, I need to create a watermark with the copyright symbol in it. I know how to insert symbols using the menu and using the &nnnn and (alt)nnnn techniques, and I know how to create a watermark using the Format/Background/Printed_Watermark options; but I don't know how to make the two things work together. I've tried Insert/Symbol while having chosen Format/Background/Printed_Watermark but that combination is not allowed. I tried the ampersand-number combination (&0169) but it appears as text without conversion to the copyright symbol. ALT#### doesn't work either.

How does one get around this?

    TIA

Try Ctrl+Alt+C, or Alt+0169 (using the numeric keypad).

    Thanks, HansV!

    It worked like a charm.
