Re: if formula (xp2003)

Hi dubdub

An example of how this will work is to:

1) Click on Cell D17
2) Format | Conditional Formatting
3) Change to Formula is
4) Type =$F17=1
5) Change the Format to green or whatever colour you need
6) Click OK

Now every time F17 = 1 D17 will turn green

hi jezza,
this is not exactly what i need, if you notice column a & colmn d has the text string"prod qunt type" and in col a there is another text called "all" i want to have a flaq of (1) for all the data between these two text "prod qunt type" and "all" including "prod qunt type" and "all" in col (f).

regards,

Re: if formula (xp2003)

Try this in F2:

=IF(COUNTIF($A$1:$E2,"prod qunt type")-COUNTIF($A$1:$E1,"all"),1,"")

and fill down as far as needed. It'll only work correctly if the use of the two text strings is consistent.
