    AutoComplete Manager

Does anyone know of a way to manage the autocomplete lists, like user IDs and passwords, etc.?
Or know where they are stored so that they can be edited?
Or a utility to do same?

I don't want to completely blow away the entire list, just get rid of old or mistyped names SELECTIVELY.

You should be able to remove an unwanted entry by highlighting it in the list and pressing the Delete key.

Internet Explorer Password Recovery Master can be downladed freely, but the free version has limitations (it only shows passwords up to 3 characters). Managing autocomplete entries is one of its features.

    Bob

    Try Protected Storage PassView v1.63: Recover Protected Storage passwords - <img src=/S/free.gif border=0 alt=free width=30 height=15>ware 32KB...

"If you want to delete one or more passwords, select the desired items in the list, and choose the "Delete Selected Items" from the File menu. You can also delete the items by clicking the "Delete" key.
Notice: When a Web page has more than one pair of user and password, you cannot delete a single password and keep that others. You can only delete all passwords together by selecting the first major password of the Web page.
    "

    Also applies to autocomplete entries.

Possibly worth noting that Symantec AV and AVG (at least!) object to these NirSoft 'discovery' utilities like PSPV, Produkey, etc, and try to delete them whenever encountered...

I don't have a problem with AVG. Maybe I white-listed it some time ago?

Right. I USED to be able to do that but for whatever reason, now I can't?
I'll give that other utility a check. Do you mean it only SHOWS a 3 letter password or will it only SEE a 3 letter PW?

    John,
    You are right about Symantec.
In the days when I used Norton, it used to pick on another NirSoft utility that I used, saying it was malware.
I sent the note to NirSoft and they very strongly objected to Symantec's evaluation of them.
It sounds like they still haven't settled their dispute.

    Re: AutoComplete Manager

I think the free version will only *show* passwords up to 3 characters.

    Re: AutoComplete Manager

Just found out the Free version doesn't support deletes of names or passwords.
Might have to spring for the paid version if no other freebie can do it.

Snadboy software - AFAIK, revelation just reveals passwords expressed by *s and is not a manager of anything.

    Re: AutoComplete Manager

Have you looked at the stuff available from NirSoft - freeware utilities: password recovery, system utilities, desktop utilities? Depending on what you are really looking for you may need more than one program.
