Suppress 'locked for editing' message box (Excel 2003 and 2007)

Is there a way to Suppress (i.e. say through a registry setting) the message box that a file is locked for editing, okay to open in read mode etc. Or just have it default to read only
This happens when i dowload from the web information into a spreadsheet and forget to close the sheet when finished and download updated information again with an open file.
    Thanks
    Jerome

I don't think so - the information would seem rather useful.
