    vista basic (basic)

I have a problem installing the disc that came with the modem from my internet service provider. When i go to install the computer tells me as i am not an administrator that i cannot install this. I am an administrator and do not understrand why it does this. I also dont know how i am gonna get round this as i have tried to open another administrator account to see if that made any difference with no luck. Please please can someone help me!!! Very exasperated by all this hassle.

Right click the setup file and select "Run as Administrator".

You may be A member of the Admin group, but you are NOT the System Administrator. <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>
This is part of the new security called UAC.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
