Convert String To Formula (2000 SP3)

    Hi all,
I'm sure this has been answered before in this forum but I can't find it in the search.
I have a (large) list of strings that I want to convert to formulas:
    =INDIRECT("Data!A"&A$1)
    =INDIRECT("Data!B"&A$1)
    =INDIRECT("Data!C"&A$1)
    =INDIRECT("Data!D"&A$1)
    =INDIRECT("Data!E"&A$1)
    etc etc

How can I paste so that Excel treats it like a formula & not a string of text?

    Thanks

Re: Convert String To Formula (2000 SP3)

    Hi again,

    sussed it out (I think)

I relaced all the "=" with nothing, using find & replace. Then I replaced "IND" with "=IND"

    That seems to have worked.

    Thanks for looking

FWIW, you could just replace '=' with '=' and save yourself a step. Useful if you have different formulas to work with, too.
