Removing Vista Boot Menu (Business)

Short version: a machine I now solely use for WinXP has a Vista boot menu from an abortive installation. I would like to remove the Vista boot menu - so I don't have to stand over the machine each time I power it up.

Long version: the machine in question had an unactivated copy of Vista on it when its motherboard died. It was replaced with a higher-specced machine (on which I run Vista). By the time the motherboard was replaced, the activation period had expired. It would be good to free up some space on the HD as well.

    Any pointers?

The "delete files" option didn't work, but a repair install got my hibernated system back up.

(I moved the files into a subfolder & didn't delete them.)

Obviously your towel wasn't cold enough

Good to hear you are back up and running.
