Assign User Name To New Record (2003 SP3)

    How do I insert the current user name (as per security login) into a specific form field when a new record is created?

    Thanks

    If you have applied user-level security to the database, you can use the CurrentUser function to retrieve the Access login name (if you haven't applied user-level security, it will always return Admin).

    Set the Default Value property of the field in the table or of the text box on the form to
CurrentUser()

    Access will automatically fill in the name when the user creates a new record.
