    Corruption (2k or 2K3)

I have been approached by a colleague who has a very difficult customer who states that their Access database is "broken". We have been able to recover a previous database from a server back up tape and I now have a copy stored on my hard drive.

I have tried to open the database and get the error message below. Tjings I have tried

    1) Import to a new database - No Luck
    2) Import into Excel - No Luck
    3) Held Shift Key on opening - No Luck

Looking at the time of creation I am unsure (due to a roll out programme whether this is a 2000 or 2K3 database if that helps. Are there any techniques that I can use as there is one specific table in the database that needs extracting.

The idea is to make a backup before the database becomes corrupted, not after <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

But seriously, I don't think you'll be able to recover anything from the database yourself, you've already tried the obvious tjings. If the data are *really* important, you might search Google for access data recovery - there are many companies that claim to be able to recover data from corrupt databases. I have no experience with any of them.

Yep, one of those error messages telling me something we have already done. Thanks, we'll see what the customer says about the software
