Accessing ClipArt behind text (Word 2003 SP2)

At one time, I knew how to access a piece of ClipArt placed behind text...but I can't remember how to do it now!

Can someone help to jog my memory? The Clip is placed behind text and I cannot click on it to select it.

    I'll appreciate your help.

    Display the Drawing toolbar.
Click the "Select Objects" button (the north-west arrow, normally the second button on the toolbar).
Try clicking on the clipart now.
Don't forget to turn off "Select Objects" when you're done, otherwise you won't be able to select text.

If this doesn't work, the picture could be in the header/footer. Select View | Header and Footer and try to click on the picture now.

You might find watermarks simplest of all, with no need to worry about layers.

For what it's worth, I have added the Select Objects command to the Shortcut Menu for normal 'Text'. This means that the command is rarely more than a couple of mouse clicks away.

Thanks for all the suggestions; I agree using the watermark is the easiest and probably best. I was trying to help a former student with his problem in accessing a piece of ClipArt and the Select Objects was a great solution.

Now I am using 2007 and customizing my toolbars is a thing of the past...but that was a great suggestion.

Thanks again. I was just lost without this Lounge; I am so happy to back in touch with everyone.
