    Web page size (XP)

I am having trouble opening web pages in IE7 with XP so that they fill my monitor screen. When I open any web page, it is small and I have to resize it. I have manually sized the web page assuming that the next time I would return to that or any web page it would fill the monitor screen, but it doesn't. Is there a way to permanently set up my pc to open any web page so that it fills the monitor screen? I have my resolution set at 1280x1024 - 60Hz. The odd thing is I used to have all web pages open to fit the monitor screen. All of a sudden they donít. Can't figure out what has changed.

Are you using the "Maximize" button or dragging the window to the size you want?

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

If I use the "Maximize button the page becomes the size of my monitor. But on re-opening the same page it is small again. I have tried dragging the page to fill the monitor screen and that only works for that page. Re-open the same page and it's back to being small.

Try dragging the page to fill the monitor and then hold down the "shift" key and close the window. Opening it again, it should fill the screen.

<img src=/S/scratch.gif border=0 alt=scratch width=25 height=29> Unusual. That trick usually works. I'll have to give this one some thought.

    1) Try DocWatson's trick but with the Ctrl key held down while closing the window instead of the Shift key.

    2) Right-click the Internet Explorer shortcut in your Quick Launch toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
Select Properties from the popup menu.
Select Maximized from the Run dropdown.
    Click OK.
Internet Explorer should now open maximized when you start it from this shortcut.

Thanks Hans. Your details about changing the run to max work. Thanks again.
