    Pivot Table Data Restriction (2003)

    Greetings,

I have a pivot table question. I have a need to "filter" the information being displayed in the pivot table. What I would like to do is as follows:

If cells in column D, starting at row 6, are blank, then do not include that row in the table.

I have looked, but just do not see how to accomplish this task.

    Thanks,
    Brad

You can add an autiofilter - data - filter autofilter. The key to addinig an autofilter on a pivot is to select in the title row is the cell to the right of the rightmost cell in the pivot table.

yea, had that part already. I am wanting something by way of formula or macro-ish to handle the filtering. I will have a great deal of data, and scrolling through is not the most efficient to filter out the info.

    Thanks,
    Brad

Formulas can not filter rows. A macro could hide the rows or could call the autofilter routine.

The simplest and fastest would be to have the macro create the autofilter and then filter the appropriate column(s)
