IE Search Features (IE 6 )

Finding a strange problem with the Search feature on the IE toolbar. When I click on it, it opens the search folder on the left side of the screen as it should. Type in something to search for and it does the search and lists various sites on the left side along with some preview sites on the right side.

However, when I click on a link in the left side, it opens the linked site in the left side, not in a new window. The right side of the display continues to show some preview sites in Live Search. When I click a link in the left side of the display, shouldn’t the site open in a new window not the left side of the screen as it is presently doing?

The default search program is Live Search. I have searched for a setting change to have the linked site open in a new window, but can’t find it.

    Any suggestions? Thanks

Why not use the Google Toolbar - it's free and it's extremely handy.

(Or if you're not allowed to install the Google toolbar, add Google to your favorites and search from Google)

Most people do use Google to do searches. This problem was just raised by one of my co-workers and I am just wondering if it is bug with the Search feature in IE. Definitely not going to beat my head over it.. <img src=/S/bash.gif border=0 alt=bash width=35 height=39>
