Deleting tracked changes (Word 2003 for XP)

I set a document to Track Changes. I can delete the individual tracked changes by right clicking on the change and by choosing "Accept Change." Over the course of the document, several pages were deleted. These deletions show up after the last page of the document. When I print, I can see these deletions; however, I can't get to them while viewing. I want to be able to delete these deletions so they don't show up when I print.

(I tried all of the views)

    Thanks.

From Get rid of tracked changes and comments, once and for all:
<hr>If you know that you want to accept all the changes, click the arrow next to Accept Change, and then click Accept All Changes in Document. If you know that you want to reject all the changes, click the arrow next to Reject Change/Delete Comment, and then click Reject All Changes in Document.<hr>

    Hans,

I don't want to get rid of all the changes. Only those that show up at the end of the document. Please see my original question.

    Thanks.

Does it matter if you switch to Normal view?

    No.

I still don't see it and yet it prints. I tried all of the views.

When I delete one or more pages from the end of a document with tracked changes on, I can get to them using the Next button on the Reviewing toolbar. No idea why it diesn't work for you, sorry. Hopefully someone else will have a suggestion.

Normally, changes do not migrate to a different part of the document... could they be Endnotes??

If you toggle field codes using Alt+F9, are there any unexpected REF, STYLEREF or other codes there at the end that may retain a memory of deleted text? (If so, update them using F9 or delete them.)

Nothing like that. I can't see these notes when I review the document but they show on the last page when I print. The Alt+F9 did not show me anything near the bottom of the document. I was thinking, there are several instances where I accepted individual deletions. Could this be what I am seeing at the back? If so, how can I access to delete these comments.

    Thanks.

Aha. "If so, how can I access to delete these comments."

Are they comments and not insertion and deletions (tracked changes)? And are you printing Document showing markup (tracked changes and comments) instead of Document? If so, from the reviewing tool bar, click the down arrow next to the red X and choose delete all comments in document.

What are you printing? Just the document? Or one of the less common combinations?
