    Unlock a VBAProject (2003 SP2)

I have a file which I have locked the project for viewing because of a need to restrict the access to the VBA code for numerous reasons. However, now I have been asked to include a feature to produce a reduced version of the file for distribution to external contacts, in doing this I do a number of things that then introduce errors into some of the macros, one of the final steps is to clear out all but the VBA that is required to make the new file function. However, I cannot get the file to clean itself becuase it is protected.

Does anyone know a way around this?

    Thanks,

    Unprotect the VBAProject.
Run your code and clean it up.
    Reprotect the VBAProject
    Distribute the file

    Steve,

Thanks for that response. Unfortunately what I should have added in my original post is that I do not want to have the responsibility of producing this file, the intention is for a couple of users to do it by clicking on the button I provide them.

Perhaps the links in the thread starting at <post:=501,609>post 501,609</post:> will help.
