Force The Close Of A Template (2K)

We have a template in a shared folder that everyone can access. One of our workers left on vacation and apparently left an instance of the template active. We are trying to update the template but Word says that the document is in use. How can I force the template's closing? Thanks for your usual guidance!

There will be a hidden file in the same folder as the template, with the same name but prefixed with ~$. For example if your template is named Letter.dot, the hidden file will be named ~$Letter.dot.
    Can you delete this file?
If so, can you open the template for editing.
If the answer to either of these is No, you'll have to ask the network admin to unlock the file, or you can try the free utility UNLOCKER.

That was one of the problems; there was no ~$ file. Unlocker did the trick, though. Thanks, Hans!
